Regular moderate exercise log

I like Stilton too, @therower , but I don't eat crackers. Plate, pile of cheese, fork. Sorted! Hope you enjoyed your workout.

Completed my limit of 20 lengths this morning.

The time I spent in the pool was a very welcome break from all the US election stuff I'd been listening to on the radio when I got up, and in the car in the way to the pool! I've realised that the head space I get from exercise can be transferred to everyday life by NOT having the radio/computer/iPad/TV on all the time.

So, I'm looking for the 'off' switch on some of my gadgetry......

I had a fairly active day today. I cycled to work and back, the home trip was in pouring rain but loved it. About 9 km. each trip though with 60 meters elevation to work and 82 meters elevation on the home trip. Just now had a nice workout, the regular bench press routine and added abs and forearms. Other than that it was a fairly busy day at work and right now i'm sitting on +16k steps.

In hind sight to my last post you can understand that i was a bit worn down before working out so i took a bit of a booster and an energy drink and right now i'm like:

Honestly i feel like i can run a mile while pushing my car and woop woop wooping the entire time.

Parkrun in the rain - LOVED it! Very cooling when you're burning up and gasping for air......

There is something nice about working out in the rain. I love cycling in the rain, coming home a bit cold and soaking wet for some reason feels exhilarating.

I put myself to shame today by deciding i'd go jogging and not cycling. I found out my running capacity is horrible, it was like 500 meters running, 250 meters walking. But it's the first time i went jogging since high school probably, it's just so different from cycling. The run was only 3 km. but i've decided i want to work on it and complete it in a good time without stopping. Next time i'm not going to start running right out the door though, it's a pretty steep hill the first 500-800 meters, probably going to walk the steepest part next time.

Morning! Rest day yesterday as was totally shattered after a very busy Saturday, but I've done my 20 lengths this morning.

It's all very well 'rationing' myself for the whole of November, but I'm halfway through the month now and I feel I want to swim further! But seeing as not overdoing it is the entire point of the rationing, it seems to be working.

Have a great day, all!

Late night last night and I really didn't fancy getting up to go swimming.

But I did! Pool was freezing so oh boy that woke me up!

20 lengths.

Well, the rationing is going strong, and I have stuck to my 20 length limit this morning.

However, in my frustration to do more (upping my length count is not allowed until December, if I stick to my plan) I have instead swum much, much harder than I usually do - same lengths, much, much more effort.

Just dealing with the aftermath of that resulting sudden crash in blood sugar now. Yay.

I'm well on the way to my second 1000 miles of my walking year. 1665 as of this evening, and at the current rate of 7 - 9 miles almost every day, barring mishaps, should manage it by my set date of 6th January.

I'm doing a November Fitness Challenge with some other friends. We set our own targets, but are accountable to one another. I set myself 15000 steps and 7000 aerobic steps a day which seemed to be about right for what I was doing in October and what I needed to do to keep going to get to 2000 miles.

Apart from 2 days I'm overachieving to the point two of them are suggesting I alter my target!

That's absolutely fantastic, @Japes ! Your November challenge sounds like a really good idea.

Felt like having a day off swimming today but I dragged myself out to do my 20 lengths.
It felt great at the time but now I'm back I've got a splitting headache and empty limbs. I think I might have got whatever my husband's just come down with...

Still, my BG is fine, and I've ticked off my '20' on my exercise log. Sorted!

Fine fettle today. 20 lengths - aaaaaand a steam in the steam room. Fab.

Busy day today being very active helping a mate with her house move.

Parkrun tomorrow!

Busy day today being very active helping a mate with her house move.

Hah same!

Worked, got home, ate, vacumed, helped a mate with his house move, came home again, ate again, worked out and now i'm sleepy.

Busy weekend schlepping boxes around and doing a load of cleaning and ironing. Parkrun on Saturday (an improved time on last week, but not a PB - that's fine by me, though!), and a walk on Sunday afternoon. 20 lengths of the pool this morning.

Looking forward to December, as I feel I'm ready to take on a bit more. Am determined to stick to my November limits in the meantime.

Have a great day, all!

Two-hour bingo wing workout this afternoon doing a team cleaning job on my own - it seems the others didn't get the memo about 'many hands make light work'. Still, it's been excellent exercise and I'm full-on cream crackered.....

20 lengths yesterday and again today.

Oh, and I *coughs* might have sent an entry form off to my first ever local 5k race event.......

Hi @Snapsy . A 5k race!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Let us know when it's planned for.
Hope you get a running vest/top letting all know that you is one special kick ass T1 runner.

Well I do parkrun sometimes, having started in June, so it's not my first 5k as such, @therower , but it's my first 'event' 5k, if you see what I mean. Missed the one I was going to do in August so this first time is a bit later than I'd hoped. Unlike the one I missed there's no free pint at the end of this one, sadly, just a mince pie.... for those who eat mince pies!

Weekend after next, as it happens. Just a little local fundraiser.

What've you been up to? Sweaty puddles next to the bike again?
