I am not diabetic. I was doubting whether to join this forum or not, but I have seen that several non-diabetics contribute here. I hope my decision is a reasonable one.
I agree with your comment on "brands". This second time I wanted to avoid to go to Pronokal, for this reason I chose a doctor specialized on keto diets. But it seems she likes this new brand, at least at the beginning of the diet. Later, she says I will start eating "normal" food. For me it makes sense, because I remember that what helped me a lot with the Pronokal diet was the immediate success out of it: losing kilos and kilos on almost a daily basis, at least at the beginning.
When I lose more weight, for sure I want to switch towards a healthy diet, which for me it is obvious now, it focuses on avoiding sugars.
I want to learn more from keto diets, and understand which is the right proportion between fat and protein. Before, I thought a keto diet was mostly a high protein one (related to paleo). Later, I learned that in fact keto diets are relatively low on protein. But I still need to find out my way, when I stabilize in weight ...
