Hi Admin,

I wrote a long reply to a post and took a while to compose it. When I pressed Preview
(to review the tab boundary) I was asked to log in again and my reply was lost. Why ?
Is there a time limit to composing a reply ? Should I save before I Preview ? Thanks, 2W

I've had this happen before, a way round it is to save the post half way through and return to it to finish off.

Thanks noblehead. I've had the luxury of not having to perform normal 'good practice' like frequent saving as I go. Does anyone know how quickly it times out though ? If it's 10-15 mins that would be a pain for me, slow composer that I am : )

Replies are also sometimes lost when 'submitting' with IE saying they cannot do this or that at the moment. Happened to me yesterday and it is a pain - also I do not know how to save to draft as per Yahoo for example. I ask the moderators to look into it please.

I too have had a few mystery failures when submitting a reply so now I highlight and copy my reply so that no matter what the machine does to it I can paste it back when I try again.

Not sure but I wouldn't wait any longer than 10 mins without saving, once you save it you can return to your post by selecting 'Load' at the bottom of the reply page and selecting your reply.

It has happened again just now. Moderators interrupts to say that someone else has just posted on the subject and in light of that would I like to re-consider, etc., etc. Then you lose me - it is trying my patience - does nobody listen????
