So my boyfriend wants to invite me to a restaurant just before Christmas and he doesn't knows where to take me so it would be good/safe (low carbs) for me where I can take as little of insulin as possible because he knows that I hate to jag myself soooo any recommendations on where to go?

A bunch of us met up in Birmingham in September and had a meal at Jamie Oliver's. It was fabulous. His menus are on line and give carb content for each meal. We couldn't find a dessert to eat but someone had brought chocolate and they concocted a dessert with strawberries and cream. You could ask for a cheeseboard with coffee.

Locals may turn up with other suggestions.

That kind of meeting sounds awesome and thanks a lot

It was awesome and we are hoping it may become an annual event, so stick around!

I love Glasgow but I don't know the eateries. A few years ago, I wanted to do my Christmas shopping in Glasgow, husband, thinking of credit card bills, took me to Dundee. Gutted!

Why not check out the online menus of various eateries within your price range so that your boyfriend has some choice. Most pub chains will post menus online so that people can see the sort of variety that they have available. I have recently found a tapas bar a good choice, various small plates of food, for a very reasonable price and the atmosphere was good for something informal.
