Restless Leg…

I’ve been pretty bad with restless leg syndrome and have been prescribed Amitryptyline 25mg a day to help with it. It works 80% of the time. Anyone else have it and what’re you doing to cope?
I have restless legs and I tend to walk or do something to take my brain about thinking about it or try.
I agree with @becca59
I have a couple of exercises to stretch the muscles and help reduce the restlessness.
There is paracetamol or I use an antihistamine.
Doing anything is better than nothing, I know it's hard to put up with sometimes, but walking is also good for your BG levels as well.

I take medication prescribed by my GP but I do sometimes suffer at night when trying to sleep and like you the meds probably work 80% of the time. Usually if I can feel it coming on I’ll get up, walk around for a minute and do a couple of stretches, give my legs a good shake and that usually eases it off just enough that I can fall to sleep. If I am having a bad night as well after my stretches I will put my weighted blanket on which does seem to help as well.

What meds are you on? @Nicola M ?

Ropinirole
Interesting, as such that it has warnings for side effects.
As it is for Parkinson's as well as restless legs.
With my mental issues, I can see why it wasn't given to me.
Hope you are okay with the drug.
Thanks.
