Results now in - officially Diabetic Type 2

Well I got the results of my 2nd blood test today - it was 7.3 so that confirms what my Dr told me after the results of the first - that I AM diabetic.

I've made an appointment to see the Diabetic Nurse which is on Fri 9 Oct and I have to provide a urine sample as well. I was told I would be given info and leaflets and she mentioned an annual retinal check. Also, that I would probably be monitored 3 monthly. I'm going to ask to see if I can get a meter and test strips. If you don't ask you don't get. Also availability of the XPERT course.

Aaw bad luck. At 7.3 you just hit the post. The good news is that you are already here and making good progress with your new, healthy life :) x

Yep, I've been "lurking" on here on and off for a couple of years or so. Now, I'm going to be a regular and asking more questions. Really glad I found this site as it's invaluable :D
