Just been to see the DN for the second time and now a little more informed thanks to the good people on here.
Results are,
I was diagnosed on the 30th of May

Weight before diagnosis 103.6 kg. now 91.6 kg

HB1AC on diagnosis 78 now 46

Fasting glucose on diagnosis 10.2 now 4.3

All other things cholesterol etc A ok

She was really pleased as am I .

Thanks to everyone here for their advice and support.
 
Absolutely brilliant Sancho. The more people show these sorts of results, the more questions DNs and GPs might ask themselves about the NICE guidelines. Well done.
 
excellent work. Keep it going and don't relax just yet. Although you are allowed a sigh of relief. ;D

Thanks all for your kind words.
I knew I was heading in the right direction but until today I didn't have any idea what the original diagnostic results were and like many others I just walked out of the doctors a little shell shocked, the only thing the dr asked at the time was are you sure you were fasting.
It seems I have landed on a decent enough DN, she asked about my diet didn't grumble when I told her I was low carbing and just asked if I was sure I could maintain it.
I told her I had got a meter and was testing she was ok with that asked to see a print out of the last couple of weeks and was happy with the results I asked about strips on prescription but no joy there lol but I expected that.
