Retinopathy and Iodine in your eye

I've been in the eye clinic every month for the last year to have an injection of Eylea or Vabysmo. In the first few visits I was off work for 2 days following the injection with fever, sniffles, acute headaches and a burning eye. I though hey-ho everyone has it so don't make a fuss.

But others told me that they never had such a thing and went home without any pain. To cut a long story short, I found out it was the iodine that the doc was putting in my eye before puncturing it. This I know because one kind doctor minimized the iodine to a small drop (about a quarter of what others were using) and that time I had no pain at all. But on my last visit neither the nurse not the doctor bothered to read this discovery in my records and I got iodine from both! And a whole week of agony.

Just wondered if anyone else has had a similar iodine-fever as there's little in the internet about it.
