One piece of personal advice I'd offer you is that in this situation, where you're not sure about what's happening, is try not to do too much Internet research.  There is so much information out there and much of it may not apply to you. I did that and it made me very anxious when I didn't need to be. Please try to relax and do let us know how things go.
