Ahh thanks, that makes me feel better

I still haven't been called for my retinal screening or foot screening, nearly 3 months post diagnosis.

Is this unusual?

Well I was diagnosed 6 months ago but I have not had my first rentinal screening yet it was over a year before my husband had his first one as they said they are so busy at the eye clinic it is taking longer for appointments now . Like Robbity I had retinal scans last year when I had my cataracts removed there was no retinopathy then so I am not really to worried Not heard of foot screening where I live the nurse checks our feet if there were any problems then I suppose we would be referred to someone else

You should have been offered an appointment within 3 months of diagnosis. I would chase this up with your GP as sometimes surgeries "forget" to refer new diabetic patients to the Diabetic Eye Screening Service.

Yes when I was diagnosed first thing they did was put me on list for eye test.

It's on my list to chase in the 14/7 when I have my second a1c test, together with a foot inspection.
