Just back from the annual screening. Last time no retinopathy was reported, whereas it has been reported (not requiring attention) as long as I have been going. Hopefully low carb has reversed the problem. He would not tell me - I always ask & usually they tell me.

I was chatting to two ladies there (patient & carer) mathematician & psychiatrist, about diet & they asked for my recipes.

Hi Ian,

Are you saying that they have just said you have no retinopathy? Or you are waiting for the results? If the former; Good Work! If the later; I hope it all goes well.

This reminds me of Fergus being told, as a Type 1, that he may not actually be a diabetic because his HbA1c's were so good. Low carbing DOES NOT COMPUTE with most HCPs...

Yeah I was wondering that to :?

I've been screened for about 7 years, & from the beginning some retinopathy was reported, though not needing treatment. Last year there was none. This time he said I would have to wait for the letter. It does seem that low carb has reversed retinopathy. But I will update you when I hear.
