I was diagnosed T2 a year ago. My Dr says I'm not classified as diabetic now (effectively reversed) but I felt like I was low this morning so I tested and was 3.4. Should I be concerned about being that low?

If you felt ill with it then, yes, you do need to be concerned. Keep testing, especially at that same time each day, and if that low follows a pattern then maybe increase your carbs a bit to compensate.

Oh - and keep a small carby snack ready just in case you go lower - maybe an apple or similar.

The trouble with your reversed hba1c is it is an average. So yes I'd be concerned, especially if you go lower. Treat any hypo as you've been instructed.
If you are getting 2s or 3s then you must be getting 7s and 8s to deem your average hba1c as in non- diabetic levels.
I have heard none diabetics having spikes of 7 or 8s but not prolonged readings.
If I was you I'd get a paper diary out and fill it in for any obvious causes and so your gp can assess your progress.

I've always said maintaning reversal would be my hardest job.
A few posters are achieving it. I think @Chook is one and others may be along to keep you right.
I am assuming your drugs free in your reversal? No steriod or other meds taken for other ailments/conditions?

This doesn't take anything away from your success. Just a maintenance issue.

well keep on measuring daily, then you will know if your blood glucose suddenly goes astray.

if you now have a tendency to get too low like this morning, then you could eat like a half a Weetabix when you wake up-
but have in mind if this happens after you having alcoholic drinks in the evenings.. that could indeed lower blood glucose overnight because of alcohols ability to occupy the liver and prevent it from transforming the necessary amount of proteins into blood glucose overnight and thereby keeping up a stable level of blood glucose in all the hours where you do not eat...

if once a diabetic then one is forever in the zone of being able to suddenly again getting into the dangerous levels of raised blood glucose
