Any protein really, meat, fish , hard boiled eggs, a few nuts. I particularly used to enjoy flaked smoked mackerel or hot smoked salmon flakes mixed with Mayo and some herbs, the extra flavours goes well with rice. I'm T2 insulin dependent on an insulin mix twice daily. I low carb... up to 30g per day but more often less than 25g. I wouldn't say I'm particularly high fat but i fry food, usually in coconut oil, eat cream, proper butter, full fat mayo and yogurt, some cheese and certain nuts and loads of green veg, except peas. I'm managing to keep my BGs in the 4s and 5s quite easily, (want to try reducing insulin now). Low Carb suits my body and my life style very well. Good luck with your lunches
Hi Nicola :). Good luck with your lunches :)
