It is possible to be both T1 & T2 at the sametime....
T1 the pancreas has stopped producing insulin for the body to use...
T2 the body has become resisdent or can not use insulin suffiently to control sugar levels...
Your link to T2 diabetes might have come down from your fathers family line rather than your mothers....
