Five years ago, I read this book which explained that Intermittent Fasting (IF) can lead to sustainable weight loss.
His arguments made sense to me and motivated me to Iose weight on the 5+2 diet, which he propagated.
This allowed me to reduce my HbA1c into the 40s and I was able to get off Metformin and am controlling my T2 by diet only.
I then joined this forum, and learned that reducing carbs when dieting is what reduces blood sugars.
