No cold cereal or wheat products is a good idea as these spike your blood as much as the same weight of table sugar. Try to put protein in your body first, then fats, then some carbs. Hopefully you won't want much carbs. by then. Add cinnamon to everything you can. Grapefruit is the lowest glycemic fruit and is considered a superfood because of it positive health effects. Grapefruit with cinnamon may even lower your blood sugar. Grapefruit and egg for breakfast will lower blood LDL cholesterol, sugar, and insulin.
