rise in blood glucose from taking diazepam

since my lumbar spine went into a spasm 9 days ago my dr prescribed me diazepam which has increased my bms fron 7 to 13 the pharmacist has consulted the bnf but its not a known side effect has anyone else had a problem like this?

I was prescribed this drug but more to relax generally and help me sleep. I've never noticed a rise in my figures. It will be interesting to see what others say.

Thanks I'm seeing my dsn on Friday so I will be asking her about it the pharmacist mentioned something about "yellow carding " it I'm probably noticing a change more as iv recently gone onto pump therapy to

I'm type 1.5 have been for 21 years I was on humalog and lantus until a month a go now just humalog since going onto my pump
