This is something that has occupied my mind for some time. People tend to be concerned with the BG level shown on the glucose test. Yet how far did it rise to reach that level? I have tested at 12, and an hour later I read 14. The level came down over time, but on occasion I have risen from 5-6 to 18 within 1.5 hours. The faster the rise in levels to me, is more concerning that actual levels attained.
I have not had these frightful events for some time due to better control, but it does present food for thought.
