Rising morning levels

Hey all, the past few mornings I have woken up with my level being 2 - 3 higher than it was before bed. I have been taking 14units of Lantus of an evening which has been holding me steady up until the other day. I tried 15 units last night but still had a rise this morning. Do I stick at 15 for a couple of nights more or try going up to 16units and see what my level is in the morning?

I would test through the night to find out what is happening. You may be going low and so your body is dumping loads of glucose from your liver resulting in a morning high

The advice with Lantus is to make small adjustments and wait 2-3 days before adjusting again, therefore I would stick with the 15 units for now and test over the next night or two, if bg is still high then increase to 16 units.

Here.s one of many links. Can't vouch for the site but they seem to reflect many others regarding the 'Dawn Phenomenon/Effect'.
