Risk Of Diabetes

Just got the results and my fasting bg even dropped to 84. My fasting insulin levels were 14.5 but it dropped down to 9 in 3 months. Even though i still have 30 bmi and have a long way to go. I guess some of that good effect is due to metformin but i think constant walking and losing weight might have contributed too. I also think in the next 2-3 months i will try to get leaner and then check my insulin levels again and i expect to reach 5-6 mg so that this thing doesnt develop. Do you think taking metformin for the rest of my life would actually be helpful to not let the thing get worse? Because it would make sure that my insulin levels would stay low. Thanks anyway i am happy now

Yes I was about to mention hypoactive thyroid. Hopefully if you do have one you are on Levothyroxine.

My TSH dropped dramatically. I usually eat less than 1600 cal a day since i want to lose weight. But it was 1.6, now its 0.8.
