Running in the rain

Re: Running in the rain

You never know when its going to arrive and it doesn't happen every time you go out the door.

For me I normally get a few ****** runs that feel like hard work then the flyer comes.

You can't describe it properly but when it hits its great

I know exactly what you mean, tonight I did my local hill 5k after an awful hard day at work, and I had the out of body experience thing which is how I would describe what your saying, there's nothing like it, it's like floating, no hard breathing, can't feel no aches, it's effortless, I finished the 5k and didn't feel like I'd run 5 yards, could have gone forever, I looked up at god and defiantly opened my mouth to catch some rain, you can't beat me, bring it on.

Didn't get struck by lighting so I'm gonna go on disbelieving

Re: Running in the rain

ok ill going to be mature about this....

WAAAAHHHHH

lol well done mate!

irritatingly i got 26.41 which was ONE SECOND yes ONE BLOODY SECOND slower than last week, i started quite a way back and there were some huge puddles to go around thats what im putting it down to i actually thought about you whilst running round the final bend when they say the times, gritting my teeth didnt help lol, on a happy note i wasnt as tired and didnt pee blood and got the same time APART FROM THAT SECOND GRRR so forward and onward, next week im going to miss it because i have the hilly 10 mile race on the sunday, so ill let you win next week

Still a **** good time. I think starting further forward helps, less folk to trip over. Did some running during the week as we'll as the swims

Keep it up

Re: Running in the rain

OK today i agree, it was raining hard and the rain was cold i was soaked through to the skin and had had enough at 5 miles, ive decided i dont mind if it starts raining while im already out but getting out the house whilst its raining sucks

See!! It's hard to get out sometimes

I've been away all weekend so no running. Back to it this week!

Re: Running in the rain

I went out before the rain yesterday. I must admit I wouldn't rush out of the door if the rain was more than just a few drops.

Have to say just do it! The rain is gonna happen regardless of your plans! Don't let it defeat you! Think of other people who can't run & would give anything to have the choice of running in the rain or not! Com 'on were diabetics we encounter harder things in our lives!! [WINKING FACE]
