I gave in and did 3.5miles. Can I have a beer now?

My Jack Russel needs a coat when its cold. He is 13ish though

Absolutely. I did my 2.5K. Took me a ridiculous 19minutes though! Was dragging the dog the whole way!

Re: Running in the rain

I don't think Charlie would keep up these days.

Well done on getting out and getting some in even if you did have to persuade the dog.

Some dogs do need protection. Those with thinner coats, elderly or health conditions, for example. Many breeds were created in warmer climates and need protection during our harsher weather. I had to extremes here; a husky who couldn't be exercised when temps got above 12 degrees, and a sighthound who needs her coat on for walks on cold or very wet days. Not every dog is the same.

Good points Hooked

Worth the hassle or not? I had a run planned for this afternoon. Nothing major, 2.5K round the park and home. But it is GUSHING and windy. I'm tempted to just man up and go anyway but I think it might put me off running even more!

You live in Aberdeen, what do you expect?

Just take a concrete pill and HTFU!.

My winter gear goes in the case as of next week

Re: Running in the rain

Running is a strange beast. One day it just all fits together and you feel like you could run forever and you don't even notice the weather.

3 months in I've still not hit that point! I keep being assured it'll come though so I'm persevering
