I think Gary Taubes has also debunked the idea that salt always leads to high blood pressure (perhaps it does for those who are salt sensitive but again it is a case of 1 size fits all advice. Salt is a proxy for eating processed food. As with all nutritional studies it is hard to prove the impact of a single mineral with so many confounding ingredients in our modern diet. For now I've got a big pack of pink himalyan to get through!
