soaps on telly and people talking about the characters as if they were real.
I was inspired by listening to Tom Kerridge [Michelin star chef] talking to Michel Roux Jr. He was talking about being brought up by a hard-up single Mum and having sausage meat roast fior Sunday dinner.
i bought a pound of sausage meat. the best quality I could find, with minimal rusk [carb] in it
I then bought 500g good quality ground pork . I mixed the 2 in the food processor using a fast blade. It could, of course, be done by hand, but the texture would not be so smooth. I patted the meat into a loaf shape and coated with flaxseed/ grated parmesan mix. Drizzled oil over and baked in the oven for 40mins at 200deg C.
It made a delicious roast. Sliced thick and served with a mountain of Brussels and gravy from the roasting tin.
A VERY economical Sunday roast.
