Hi, we have been refused a place in a secondary school that was our first choice for our 10 year old boy (diagnosed type 1 in December 2012.
A few factors to help paint the picture:
1. At the time of applying We were not diagnosed. So our criteria is different from original request.
2. We are not in the catchment area.
3. The school we want is on the door step of a hospital ( this is now very comforting as me and my husband work, for us to get to our nearest school (not of our choice) would take over 30mins anyway then another 10 minutes for the hospital.Whereas my son could be at the hospital in 2 minutes in case of an emergency.
Has anyone else experienced this type of situation where they have appealed for their children? All advice very welcome as I am already lost (hence the name).
Please help me...
