Not so much about DM but interesting...
Often a bugbear but particularly so for those of us trying to sort the hype from the facts re DM etc, this piece is a nice read that it annoys a lot of other people... but as they point out at least some of what appears in the media can be attributed to being overworked and up against deadlines, I know... I have been there and it aint fun sometimes. 8)
Anyway never mind that... this is topical because of the studies themselves... are they actually research let alone worthwhile?
"All this is to be expected. Research on research—particularly on medical research, where sample sizes are often small—shows that lots of conclusions do not stand the test of time. The refutation of plausible hypotheses is the way that science progresses. The problem was in the way the work was reported in the press."
