Diabetes!!
I must be so unlucky to have all these health conditions! Not to mention I also suffer with my Mental Health and being newly diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes isn’t helping matters at the moment! Does anyone know if these conditions are linked in any way?

My spine is all over the place (s-shaped from the front and the side-view, too), but I don't think it has anything to do with my other conditions, just chronic vitamin D-deficiency messing up my bones as I was growing up. Hunching over to hide my early developing breasts from pawing classmates didn't help either. T1 is an auto-immune condition and those usually do not come alone though... I am a type 2, which isn't one, but I do have both Hashimoto's and Sjögrens, which are. (And an A4 sheet of additional conditions, so believe me, you're not alone... There's a lot of us unlucky ones out there!)

As for mental health, I can't say one thing causes/links to another, BUT.... High blood sugars, whatever type you are, do feed into mood-, panic- and anxiety disorders. They can make them very much worse, which is an excellent reason to try and keep good control of your blood sugars. I deal with general- and social anxiety disorder and depression, flowing from being an undiagnosed AuDHD for 45 years. When I was first diagnosed with diabetes I was a fearful hermit who barely left the house, ripping my husband's head off at the drop of a hat... Getting blood glucose back into a normal range helped a LOT with all of that. Mood was a lot more stable, nowhere near as flammable as it was, and anxiety got a bunch better. Normal blood sugars made me a better human, over all.

No idea if that helps, as I don't often mix in T1 matters, but that's just my two cents. All in all? Be good to yourself. It helps.
HUGS,
Jo
