Hi Folks,

Over the last while I have been testing using the SD Codefree meter but more recently I've noticed its results have been rather erattic. I a 3 hour fast blood test one after another 7 times across 2 fingers and I got results ranging from 4.6 right up to 7.8

If the meter is supposed to be accurate then surely the results should be roughly within acceptable limits but +/- 3.2mmol is rather unacceptable.

Hi Sheepie123

I have used the codefree since day one of my diagnosis, I do get the odd rogue reading and test again. I usually find it's either a bad strip or I haven't washed my hands enough and there is food residue or something on my fingers affecting the readings. I have two other meters I use sometimes to double check the codefree against amd 9 times out of 10 it's correct within its limits
