Theres mixed reviews about hair remedies and its hard to know what to beleive, and a gp will never give advice on herbals. If you just want to cover up a a small area theres a cover up called toppik that is a synthetic hair mixture which is statically charged and binds to the hair and skin where you apply it. Its quite indistinguishable. Other than than there is a pharmaceutical, called (i think) propecia, that if youre lucky you could get from your gp.
I understand the causes and remedies for this type of thing can differ between men and women, but after looking into it myself, it would seem theres hundreds of alleged remedies. Theres just no proof they work.
Have you had your thyroid checked? Dry skin and hair loss can be down to an underactive thyroid. Mind you, mine is being treatened and hasn't made any difference to either!
