I'll be seeing the nurse at GPs tomorrow - looks like she's booked me in for double appointment.
Should be an interesting morning
First, I wonder what she'll say when I ask (again) for meter and strips. I've got one meter, and have been paying for the strips, but am curious to see if they'll decide to provide me with one, and to prescribe strips.
Then, what she'll have to say about me cutting down on carbs  After she told me to eat lots of carbs
But fasting BG has come down from over 7 to under 7, and readings two hours after meals has come down to around 6. When I was first diagnosed a couple of months ago, and I was following the standard professional advice, my readings were much higher
Will get results of first HbA1c tomorrow - curious to see what it is. Must remember to ask for all results from original blood tests (cholesterol, etc)
After all that waffle - what do I need to be asking her / telling her /asking for?
All ammunition greatly appreciated.
Thanks for all the help I've got on here already.
