Went into work today and my name wasn't on the deployment list so I went to see the management as they sent home three pregnant girls and a guy in his 70's yesterday and was told the final decision was down to me but that if and when I did decide to go I would be on full pay for the 12 weeks. Given that I work for one of the supermarkets in a warehouse I've decided to see the week out and take my first day of the 84 as Saturday. I'll have to phone in on a daily basis just to make sure I'm still alive and give any updates about my general health should it go **** up for me. I probably took an hour out of the working day just getting things clear but still have other issues to clarify like my return date, holiday I had booked off work at the end of March is being carried over to next year so now means I have 37 days to take in 9 months. I will be venturing out on my bike some days as being cooped up for that time period will drive me crazy.
