Severe cold for SIX weeks now!

This really is a massive pain in the bum now...had a cold for 6 weeks now and following TWO lots of anti biotics from the doc I still have it...what is one supposed to do to get rid of it (Type 2 since 2007)......

A cold is a virus they say that only lasts a few days so it sounds like you are suffering from a secondary infection after the actual cold. I would suggest going back to see your doctor

There's a long-lasting cold doing the rounds here that often triggers a secondary bacterial infection which, according to my GP, doesn't respond to amoxycillin but does respond to erithromycin. It might be worth raising this with your GP (assuming the two courses of antibiotics that have already failed were penicillin types).
