Severe reaction to cold

Just wondering. I get a severe reaction to cold. In temperatures that normal people would quantify as ‘chilly’ I can start to shiver uncontrollably. My teeth chatter so much that I could actually be useful for crimping pastry. Is this a diabetes thing?

Have you lost a significant amount of weight?
I found I was much colder after a big weight loss. It has now normalised.

When my thyroid was doing it's own thing, which wasn't what it was supposed to, my intolerance to cold was awful. I could sit in 30c, cold, with a sweater on. With treatment I'm not that bad any more, but still not like other folks.

It could be worth having a chat with your Doc about this? Also, do you know what your blood sugars are doing at the time? I know some folks feel cold if their bloods are a bit on the low side.
