severe weight loss

DM diagnosed 2009,hypertensive since 20 years, i was on glimipride .5mg daily but started developing hypoglycemia often and later switched on to glyciphage sr 500 once daily since then i am having severe weight loss ( was 67 kg in may 11 now only 61kg and very much skinny and tired) hba1c 7 i feel like stopping glyciphage, what to do.
