Hello everyone
I’m a T2D I’m diabetic when I was 22 years old now I’m 26.
I was on pills and my HBA1C wasn’t good that’s why doctor told me to take insulin, now I’m taking 3x 10U in a day.
I’m getting marry next month and my sexual desires aren’t good, can you guys help me to restore my sexual desire and ED

High blood sugar levels can cause sexual dysfunction, hopefully controlling your levels might make you feel much better and an improved sexual drive.
How are your levels now?

Don't worry about your desire, focus on your future partner and what they want.

Your own health problem with being type 2 relies on you taking responsibility for your diet and cutting down on carbs. It is a hard message to take on board but you must take responsibility for yourself if you are to enter into a long term partnership. We can help you with diet advice and encouragement to exercise but ultimately it is up to you.
 
Could you clarify, please. In your post you say you have Type 2 (for four years) and you have posted in the T2 part of the forum but your profile says you have been diagnosed as Type 1 Diabetes just one week ago.

It is most important that we know your status as this affects the advice that is given.
 
Change your diet and go low carb. There are plenty of people who will advise you. Once your sugars are lower to a more normal level., perhaps your sexual desire will return. You have to change your lifestyle in the way of eating. Have you told your doctor about your worries?

Can you define "desire?"
Physical performance can be affected by prolonged high BGs.
Shorter term BG fluctuations may have impact emotionally, which can also affect the response to initialising intimacy?

You should see your doctor about this.

With regards to insulin. It looks like you are on a set dosage.? Reducing your carbs drastically to your dosage can mean the danger of going too low. (Hypo.) you would need to test the effects of what you eat carefully with the meter.
Log your diet & consult your Doctor with regards to the medication.

I'd go and see your doctor. Even if this is connected to your diabetes they may be able to help you with temporary meds and perhaps a referral to a sex therapist. Meds wouldn't be permanent and are not an answer but ED can be self-reinforcing and sometimes getting out of the cycle isn't easy.

If you use porn, perhaps stop and learn to focus on the woman beside you instead of the fantasy women in the pics and on screen. If you can lose yourself in pleasing her, your own desire should return in time. There are plenty of books around which might help. Certainly did for us!

FIrrst port of call is definitely your doctor.

If you look closer you'll see I said to STOP using any porn (if indeed he uses it) ...........

TEST OFTEN . Take up meditation, learn to relax. ED and stress make great bed partners... That is most unhelpful to you and your bride to be. Trust me there is not a bed big enough for all four of you!

You must keep an eye your levels if you begin eating less carbs. I have dropped from 100 carbs a day, 6 weeks ago, I am now down to 50 carbs a day. In this short time my BG has dropped as have my insulin levels, down 30%; and well other things (well one! actually has risen each morning, and often during the night). Result pie with cream... lots of thick double cream

Look after your diet, learn to relax and the rest will follow.

Just remember that anything you eat or drink produces sugar during the digestive process, so use your blood glucose meter to adjust. The rest is up to you and nature...
 
The OP posted and has not returned since and I think his post has little to do with his actual content and more to do with getting kicks online at other people’s expense.
