I get the "shakes" even when my bs count is in the normal range. Can anyone help me with this. I tend to get it after work when I am relaxing. I have a physical job and in good shape T2 diabetes diet control and watch what I eat and drink. But utterly confused as to this shaky feeling

I get the same thing, I'm shaky, hot and hungry when BG levels are around 4-5. Apparently because my body is so used to high levels I get Hypo symptoms at normal levels. Hopefully when tablets work or I get onto insulin levels will drop but body needs time to adjust.

Hi, I also get shakes and feel dreadful (sweating, beating heart etc) when my bs hits 5 or below and have also been told that because my body is now so used to high bs levels that it thinks that is normal. Now fiddling with all my various medications and probably due to start insulin in the very near future.

Hi Tenko,

If your BS is usually in a range between 5 and 7 then the shakes you are experiencing are unlikely to be hypo-related, or even diabetes related. It is more likely to be something muscular or viral so you should make an appointment to see your GP.
