So I’ve had my yearly review, I’ve had my metformin reduced to 1 tablet twice a day, if my levels stay what they are then she said on my next yearly review she will take me off all tablets and change my records as non diabetic! Quite confused they do that as I will always be diabetic but anyway, just thought I would share the news I’m happy
Good work, well done !
I would question being removed from the diabetic register as you may lose out on eye checks etc… which you are still entitled to.
@Dudette1 What terrific news
I remember you going through the ringer trying to get off vaping.
Did your BGs eventually resolve ?
I take it they did if they are offering to take you off the register.
Thanks guys I appreciate the replies. Don’t think I’d want taking off as a non diabetic because it will always be laying dormant and ready to hit me if I change my habits

That’s great news @Dudette1 very well done.
My medical records state ‘in remission’ so I still get the retinopathy checks, foot checks and an annual review. I agree with you that it is probably always going to be lying dormant in us, waiting to rear it’s ugly head if we go back to our old eating ways.
