Message: <blockquote data-quote="nigelho" data-source="post: 664000" data-attributes="member: 41170"><p>As DAFNE say you don't have to do a 2 hour test.  If you're type 1 for most diabetics the quick acting insulin takes about 4 hours to do its thing.  For me I use novorapid and after 2 hours I can be as much as 4-8 mmols higher than my BSs before a meal so I rely on the 4 hour test.  Don't do any corrections until you know the first set of insulin has done its work otherwise you can end up in hypo later in the day due to insulin stacking.</p></blockquote><p></p>
