hello everyone
I am new to this forum, I am looking for specialist shoes for my sister who is diabetic, we can't find any shoes to fit her in the mobility shops or online, we have even tried mens shoes, her feet are very, very. very swollen and nothing fits, have even tried size 8e's in width, had a look at bespoke shoes, hand made shoes but they are out of our range price wise, would be very grateful if anyone has any ideas, or where we could get some help.

If she is diabetic, and the swelling is due to the diabetes, The NHS can provide shoes for her. First you need to get her seen by the podiatrists. Diabetics can self-refer to podiatry. They don't need to go through the GP.
In the meantime, have you tried "Cosyfeet"?

have tried Cosyfeet today and they don't fit. they don't go up big enough

My feet and ankles were always swollen and I was up to a size 8 and still finding it difficult to find shoes that would fit. About 3 months ago I started low carbing,mainly cutting out bread and flour based products and I have lost weight and my feet have shrunk as well ! I noticed this first actually and I am now able to wear a size 7 and I walk much better.
 
Ann it's definitely worth going to the podiary department.
I don't know much about your type feet problems for myself, because I have skinny bony feet. Just an odd shape. However, My T1 husband has very distorted Charcot feet and the NHS make his shoes for him. He cannot get into ANY normal shoes. I've just thought. He can wea trekker sandals. Since those are unisex, hunting up a pair with extension velcro straps might be a temporary solution. Neither warm nor waterproof, but a sole to protect the feet.

My husband's trekkers are by Scholl and we bought them in a local department store, where the excellent and knowlaedeable assistant provided us with extender straps for them. Husband found them very comfortable on holiday in Spain
