There's nothing controversial in what your saying Crimsonclient and you make a good point here, however try as we might there's no denying that diabetes is a complex condition and even people sharing the same type can have different experiences in living and controlling their diabetes, so at best our knowledge of other types of diabetes is always going to be limited IMHO. I've always said the general public do not really want to know too much about diabetes and it is only when you get diagnosed with the condition yourself do you realise how little you knew, there are 1000's of condition out there that people live with everyday and it's impossible to know what it is like to walk in their shoes for a day, does that make us bad or ignorant.............no it doesn't!!! But picking up on some comments about not posting in other sections of the forum, I don't see no harm in offering advice in other areas as long as it's just general advice, often we will get members posting about bp or cholesterol and rather than post this in the Ask a Question section of the forum they will post it in the Type 1 or Type 2 section because they have that particular type of diabetes, as the advice for bp and cholesterol is universal across the board there's no harm in anyone answering that thread if they believe they can offer advice or support, there's many more examples and we could here all day discussing them. .
