Hello, been ill since Christmas Eve with bronchitis, so no testing in case I got funny readings. Just checked my left hand, reading was 3.6 - extremely low for me. I checked my right hand a few minutes later and that was 10.8 - quite high for me. I have had nothing to eat since a cup of tea at 11.15am, and just a browse round a supermarket is the only exercise so far today. Do I need to check again today? Hope someone has previous experience of this and can reassure me.

No 2 readings are usually the same but this does seem like a huge difference. I would wash hands and test again. Do you have any test solution to test the strips ?

I agree with Mo.

I can get large differences too but this seems excessively large. Wash, wash, wash! Just in case

Which meter do you use? I've had problems with my Contour giving wildly different results. I've switched to the MyLife Pura, supposedly the most accurate meter and the readings are incredibly consistent.

Thank you all so much, why didn't I think of either extra hand washing, test strips or change meter! I am equally high on both hands now! Sorry for panicking!
