Should I get tested?

Hi, I've been wondering if I might be diabetic. I've read the symptoms and I have some of them but not all- I get the itchiness (especially my balls :roll: ) and I seem to pee a lot, I have to go three times or something before I go to bed. I don't think I drink a lot particularly though, and I don't have a massive appetite. I also feel sick if I stand up for ages, I don't know if any of you have had that.

I'm just reticent to go to the doctor on the off chance, since I went for a anaemia test a few months ago and it came back negative. I don't want to seem like a hypochondriac. Does everyone get all the symptoms or just a few?

not everyone gets all the symptoms but the only way to find out for sure is to see the gp,
most chemists, lloyds especially will check u for free , so u could do an overnight fast and pop along to lloyds and see what that shows,
but if u are still feeling ****** then do see your gp

A lot of types of diabetes show up with increased postprandial numbers before the fasting numbers go, I'd recommend eating a load of carbs and going to the pharmacy about an hour later for a spot test if the FBG comes back as "normal". Also try to get an actual *number*
