Hi Matt, welcome. I had similar symptoms, but put off going to a doctor for some years, even though I suspected I had diabetes from reading about my symptoms on the internet. When I finally plucked up the courage to be tested and found out that I had Type 2, I realised how foolish I had been, because earlier detection and treatment can lessen complications. I would definitely advise you to see a doctor and ask for a test. If it turns out that you are not diabetic, then all good. If you are diagnosed as diabetic, then there is so much you can do to regulate blood sugar and avoid complications. I take 2 Metformin per day and try to eat a low carb diet, cutting out all sugar and grain based products, such as bread, pasta, rice etc. I have lost weight and reduced my blood sugar to reasonable, though not perfect, levels. It is the complications of high blood sugars that can be so bad for health, so do see a doctor, just in case.
