sick child-flu

Frustrating isn't it.

You can also give Andrew ibuprofen as well as paracetamol. The two drugs don't interact and give you more coverage as far as pain relief goes. Stick to unnamed brands as these are waaay cheaper than the others. Paracetamol can be bought for pennies.

Speak to a pharmacist, they will be able to tell you the doses etc.

Personally, when my granddaughters need those sort of drugs, their mum alternates the paracetamol with the ibuprofen every two hours, staying within the safe dose for 24 hours and as Kitty was blue lighted in to A&E on Christmas day with febrile convulsions, she is vigilant at keeping her temp down.
Honestly, one day back at nursery and she's ill again.

Hi Wiflib, frustrating with a capital F isn't it ,and i hope Kitty is feeling better,
Worse thing with Andrew is he's getting his appetite back gradually, one day he can eat anything within reach, the next he's not hungry at all, any wonder his bs have started going wonky again. I just feel so sorry for him and i feel a bit useless as well if i'm honest. He's just so pale and his get up and go has got up and went. Am heading to the hospital tonight for my second FABB course, flexible adjustment of basal bolus, i'll get to speak to DN's and Dr face to face, perhaps they'll suggest a we checkup for him, there good that way.
Thanks for taking the time to reply,
take care

I've had flu like that in the past, where the illness itself wasn't that bad but the post-flu syndrome just went on and on.

Sorry I can't add anything helpful, only sympathy!
