Frustrating isn't it.
You can also give Andrew ibuprofen as well as paracetamol. The two drugs don't interact and give you more coverage as far as pain relief goes. Stick to unnamed brands as these are waaay cheaper than the others. Paracetamol can be bought for pennies.
Speak to a pharmacist, they will be able to tell you the doses etc.
Personally, when my granddaughters need those sort of drugs, their mum alternates the paracetamol with the ibuprofen every two hours, staying within the safe dose for 24 hours and as Kitty was blue lighted in to A&E on Christmas day with febrile convulsions, she is vigilant at keeping her temp down.
Honestly, one day back at nursery and she's ill again.
