Hi I was diagnosed type 2 diabetes 10 days before xmas. I have been put on Metformin and HBP tablets. 2 weeks after being on tablets I now have dry eyes and tightness across my head it has eased slightly but is still there, has anyone else had similar or any advice.

Hi @Limezer , welcome to the forum.

Apparently, dry eyes can be a side effect of metformin, although I didn't have that side effect myself.
Can you ask your doctor or diabetes nurse about it?

I mentioned it to her but she said its not on there list of common or rare side effects, but my optician said that it could cause it. I've got a screening this week I will ask there too.
