Type 1 Sight improved following diagnosis?

Hi there,

I have diagnosed with Type 1 in the last week and strangely my sight has improved? anyone experienced this?

I wear glasses all the time and have done now for most of my life.
I now can't see clearly when I wear my glasses, everything is a blur. My vision is somewhat the best its every been.

Is this normal?
Is it temporary?
Is this to do with my blood sugar level?

A lot of people experience vision disturbances immediately following diagnosis. The fluid in your eyes in directly impacted by blood sugar level and as your blood sugars normalise (you are likely to have been running high for a while) your vision might be a bit weird. Give it a week or two to settle down & you should find it will go back to normal.
