Type 2 Sight problems

Good evening all, I was diagnosed with type 2 nearly two weeks ago and since taking Metformin and Gliclazide my eyesight has gone blurry and I have to wear my glasses all the time now where I only wore them when working on computers or reading. I got to the stage where I had to use a magnifying glass with my glasses on to see paperwork. My laptop is on 200% just so I can see the screen. Has anyone else had this problem with these tablets?
 
Hi Debby, it's not the tablets causing the problem it's your high blood sugars. Once you have lower numbers and things stabilise a bit things will improve and your sight will return to normal. Obviously if you drive don't until you can see properly. Hope that reassures you.
 
My close vision went blurry for several weeks as my sugar levels came down and then went back to normal. This is something a lot of people experience and is not permanent. You will be OK. I just bought a pair of cheap reading glasses from a dollar store to get me through and now I don't need them any more.
