Many of us will remember Jimmy for his lunch-time show on Radio 2 @mist , Jeremy Vine took over from him and continues to host the show.

I just saw it on the news, I didn't realise he was a singer all those decades ago, but remember him more for his radio show, The JY prog.

I don't listen to the radio so that's probably why I've never heard of him.
