Site that I found most useful to learn ...

When I first realised that my BG was actually quite high, I decided that I would get to grips with it, because if I didn;t I knew I would end up as several in my family have, who have the Big D and that was scary. Here's a link to the site:

http://www.everydayhealth.com/healt...making-your-diabetes-diet-work-every-day.aspx

eventually I found the Diabetes.co.uk site and the UK one and this forum has been invaluable, because we can all read and read and learn the theories but the practicalities of those theories can be quite a different matter, or more complex, making us confused and frustrated.

This is purely my own humble opinion ...

Take care, taking care :shy:

When I was first diagnosed 7 years ago, reading about all the complications such as blindness, kidney failure, gangrene, losing toes, feet etc. made me work very hard at my diet and weight. my control is now very good and my BMI has dropped from 32 to 24. I read all i can about diabetes and find that this motivates. I enjoy detailed, medical articles and am learning a lot of medical terminology.
loads of detailed information and technical details.
